Lakshya Campaign Inauguration Programme.

Lakshya marked a significant milestone in its mission towards child safety, public awareness, and social responsibility with the inauguration of its Information and Awareness Board Campaign on 6 February 2026. The programme was organized with the objective of making essential emergency and child protection information easily accessible to the public, thereby strengthening community awareness and ensuring timely support for children and families in need.
The campaign was inaugurated by Vinod Kumar, whose presence added great value and encouragement to the initiative. The inauguration ceremony witnessed the active participation of Lakshya members Kailas B Prasad, Sonu S Shibu, Abad Sait, and Satheesh K, who played an important role in planning, coordinating, and executing the programme.

The newly installed information board serves as a comprehensive public resource containing vital contact information, including emergency helpline numbers, child protection services, district control room numbers, and other important contacts that may be required during times of crisis. The board has been designed in a simple, visible, and user-friendly format so that members of the public can quickly access the necessary information whenever required.
In today’s society, access to accurate emergency information can make a crucial difference in protecting vulnerable individuals, particularly children. Many incidents involving child abuse, neglect, trafficking, substance abuse, domestic violence, or situations where children are found in distress require immediate intervention by the concerned authorities. During such situations, people often struggle to find the correct contact numbers or are unaware of the services available to them. The awareness board addresses this challenge by bringing all essential contact information together in one easily accessible location.

One of the key highlights of the board is the inclusion of child-focused helpline services and district-wise control room numbers. These resources enable children, parents, teachers, social workers, and members of the public to report concerns quickly and seek professional assistance without delay. The board acts as a bridge between the community and the support systems established by the government and various agencies working for child welfare and public safety.
The initiative also aims to promote awareness regarding the rights and protection of children. By displaying emergency and support service information prominently, the campaign encourages citizens to take an active role in safeguarding children and reporting incidents that may place a child at risk. Timely reporting can prevent harm, ensure early intervention, and connect affected children with appropriate care, counselling, and rehabilitation services.

The presence of emergency contact numbers on public information boards is especially beneficial for children who may become separated from their families, experience abuse, face exploitation, or require urgent assistance. In such circumstances, access to verified contact information can help ensure a rapid response from authorities and child protection agencies. The board also assists parents and guardians by providing reliable channels through which they can seek help, guidance, or emergency support.

Addressing the gathering, the Joint Excise Commissioner appreciated the efforts of Lakshya in undertaking a socially relevant initiative that contributes to public welfare and child protection. He emphasized the importance of community participation in safeguarding children and highlighted the role that awareness campaigns play in building a responsible and informed society.

The Lakshya team reaffirmed its commitment to conducting meaningful programmes that create a positive impact on society. Through this campaign, the organization seeks not only to provide information but also to foster a culture of vigilance, responsibility, and collective action for the protection and well-being of children.

The inauguration of the Information and Awareness Board Campaign stands as a testament to Lakshya’s dedication towards social development, child safety, and public awareness. By ensuring that critical emergency and support service information is readily available to the public, the initiative contributes to creating safer communities and empowering individuals to act promptly during emergencies.

The programme concluded with a message of gratitude to all stakeholders, officials, volunteers, and community members who supported the initiative. Lakshya remains committed to expanding such awareness efforts in the future and continuing its mission of building a safer, more informed, and child-friendly society.
