Sabarimala, Pathanamthitta
As part of its ongoing commitment to social responsibility, Lakshya for Future executed a large-scale anti-drug awareness campaign during the Sabarimala pilgrimage season, a time when millions of devotees pass through Pathanamthitta district. Under the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner of Excise, Pathanamthitta, the organization strategically installed over thirty awareness boards across key locations in Poonkavanam and Sabarimala.
These boards were designed to reach both pilgrims and the general public, delivering strong messages about the dangers of substance abuse and encouraging individuals to seek help through listed emergency and counselling helplines. Placed in high-visibility areas, the initiative aimed to make a lasting impression on a massive audience during one of Kerala’s most spiritually significant seasons.
The campaign was supported by leading sponsors, including TVS Motors, Vasan Eye Care, and Milma, whose contributions made the initiative possible.
The formal launch of the campaign was marked by a special flag-off ceremony at Sabarimala, where the Honourable Devaswom Board Minister, V.N Vasavan, ceremoniously unboxed the first awareness board, signaling the start of the campaign.
The initiative garnered widespread media coverage across Kerala, with numerous outlets appreciating Lakshya’s proactive role in promoting social awareness and public well-being during a time of major cultural and religious significance.
